Ultra Pigment: A Smarter Approach to Brighter, More Even Skin

The New Era of Pigment Correction

Uneven skin tone, melasma, sun damage, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation are some of the most common concerns we see in aesthetics today. Patients want visible improvement, but they also want treatments that are effective, safe for their skin type, and realistic for everyday life.

That is why we created the Ultra Pigment Program — a customized 3-treatment series designed to improve discoloration, refine texture, and restore radiance with minimal downtime.

Using the advanced Lutronic LaseMD Ultra platform along with targeted recovery support, this program helps brighten skin while supporting overall skin health throughout the treatment process.

What Makes Ultra Pigment Different?

Ultra Pigment uses a controlled, layered approach rather than aggressive resurfacing. Treatment settings are customized based on your skin type, pigment concerns, and lifestyle, making the program appropriate for a wide range of patients — including many with melasma concerns or skin of color.

Each treatment includes:

  • Customized Ultra treatment settings

  • Tranexamic Acid (TA) ampoule support

  • Recovery-focused BE Mask therapy

  • A progressive treatment plan designed for cumulative improvement

The program is designed to target:

  • Sun damage

  • Brown spots

  • Uneven tone

  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation

  • Mild melasma concerns

  • Texture irregularities

While we frequently combine LaseMD Ultra and Genius RF Microneedling as part of a comprehensive, multi-layered skin rejuvenation plan, not every patient requires both treatments initially. Combination therapy can be excellent for patients needing improvement in pigment, texture, scarring, laxity, and overall collagen stimulation simultaneously. However, for patients whose primary concern is discoloration, melasma, uneven tone, or sun damage — especially those with more reactive or pigment-prone skin — LaseMD Ultra alone can be a very effective, lower-inflammation option. Its customizable, controlled approach allows us to safely target pigment concerns while minimizing unnecessary heat and downtime, making it an excellent standalone treatment for many patients.

What to Expect

The Ultra Pigment Program includes 3 treatments spaced approximately 4 weeks apart, PLUS 2 follow-up spot treatments if needed.

Most patients begin seeing progressive improvement throughout the series, with optimal results developing over 12–16 weeks.

A temporary speckled appearance called MENDS may appear after treatment as pigment rises to the surface and sheds naturally. This is a normal part of the skin renewal process and typically resolves within several days.

Safe Year-Round — Including Summer

One of the benefits of the Ultra Pigment Program is its customizable approach. Unlike more aggressive resurfacing treatments, Ultra settings can be adjusted seasonally and tailored to individual skin needs.

With proper aftercare and strict sun protection, many patients can safely undergo treatment year-round, including during summer months.

To protect results, we recommend:

  • Daily mineral SPF 50

  • Reapplying sunscreen regularly outdoors

  • Avoiding excessive heat immediately after treatment

  • Wearing hats and practicing sun protection habits

Patients with melasma or deeper pigmentation often require a more conservative treatment approach to minimize the risk of rebound pigmentation or flare-ups. Because these conditions can be highly reactive to heat and inflammation, lower energy settings and a gradual treatment plan are typically recommended. While this may mean a greater number of sessions are needed to achieve optimal results, a cautious, customized approach helps improve pigment safely while supporting long-term skin health and stability.

Why Patients Love It

Patients love Ultra Pigment because it improves both tone and texture while fitting into busy lifestyles.
